Trough Sea

The location of Marina Isla Canela from the sea is easy, both sailing from the West (mouth of Guadiana river) or from the East ( Piedras river and Huelva ´s Port) as well as from the south, open sea. There is a characteristic building in Punta del Caiman, Isla Cristina, which looks like a lighthouse, which is the clear reference of the access to the river.

Once you have entered the river channel you keep going up the Carreras River around 650 meters up to a point where you will see to your left a white building with Marina Isla Canela written in it. To the North of this building you will find the Caño de la Moharra, which is the entrance of the port.

The access channel is marked out, has a minimum width of 50 meters and a minimum depth of 3 meters. The tidal streams are normally not stronger than 2 knots.
